This week’s colour is all about orange! From burnt orange and bright hues to rich rust and even a hint of coral—let’s dive into this vibrant palette!
Orange Accents:
Orange is one of those colours that pairs beautifully with velvet—perhaps it’s the rich tones combined with the sense of luxury and elegance that velvet brings. This accent chair embodies both, making a perfect statement piece. It’s the Tress from Oliver Bonas, retailing at £445.00, and it’s also available in cobalt, zebra print, and cream borg.
The save options come from the “three D’s”—Daals, Dusk, and Dunelm. Daals offers the closest match in shape, colour, and texture, though it's fully polyester. At £169.99, it certainly delivers the look for less. Dusk’s Quinn chair is another great option, with a shape that’s probably the closest match, currently on sale for £169.00, though the colour leans more rust than burnt orange. Finally, Dunelm’s Lucilla chair is another option at £169.00 (spotting a theme here!), with a great shape and colour. However, this one is borg rather than velvet.

Coastal Coral:
Coral could almost have its own week on Splurge or Save—it’s one colour that keeps finding its way into my home and those of my friends. But for now, it’s all about sea coral, and this set of six prints from House of Isabella is a timeless artwork collection that brings a classic coastal vibe to mind. Think Grace & Frankie beach house—a true interiors masterclass! This set of six, however, comes with a hefty price tag at £1,995.00.
John Lewis, quickly becoming a go-to for save options, has a beautiful set of six framed prints for £130.00. Personally, I think I prefer these! Although they’re smaller at 32x26cm compared to the splurge's 57x68cm—quite a difference in size—I find them more versatile, especially if you’re looking to add just a touch of elegance to any bathroom for those of use without a coastal property. Dunelm also has a fantastic set of four for £75.00, matching John Lewis in size and featuring a similar black frame, which really lets the orange tones shine, more striking than the softer pewter of the splurge option. Finally, Etsy is excellent for prints, with a set of six starting from £17.25 for printed copies (many Etsy options are digital). You’d need to account for framing, but it’s a great choice for anyone who wants to personalise by selecting their own frame and size.

Confetti Cocktails:
Confetti glass has been part of interiors for around 100 years, originally developed by artist Louis Comfort Tiffany. In recent years, it’s seen a real resurgence in tableware. Glassette offers a gorgeous set of two orange confetti tumblers for £52.00, perfect for adding a joyful touch to any table setting - even at £26.50 per glass.
lets look at the save options, Marks & Spencer have a set of two for a great price of £12.00. These for me are great I love the brightness to these being a punchier orange with the soft pink rather than the more amber tone. Talking of orange with pink Angela Reed have a set of 4 for £34.95 making them just £8.74 each, they are not quite a rounded in shape but they are a great colour palette. If you want to go for something super bright then Nordic Nest have you cover for £14.90 for a set of two with a touch of red.

Seasoning you Savings:
No orange roundup would be complete without the iconic orange wares of Le Creuset. We’ve covered their classic orange cast iron casserole dish on Splurge or Save before (click here), but today it’s all about the salt and pepper mills in their signature volcanic orange ombre. At £41.00 each, they’re an investment—£41.00 for the pepper mill and another £41.00 for the salt. (I did spot some cheaper retailers, but for peace of mind, I prefer to recommend brands I know and trust to avoid any risk of scams.)
Habitat comes to the seasoning rescue with their set of salt and pepper mills for just £16.00. Featuring a similar fiery ombre to the splurge option, these mills are a fantastic addition to your kitchen at a fraction of the price.
