Hello and welcome to this week’s Love List! Today, it’s all about shopping smart and keeping it cheap, with everything nearly under £10 (okay — one item is £10.99). Whether it’s a little payday treat or a well-deserved celebration for surviving to the end of half term, here are some lovely bits that won’t break the bank. Let’s dive in!
H&M Home:
H&M Home is having a stellar season, so much so that this week’s usual three picks have grown into a whopping six-item showcase.
First up: this ever-so-cute stoneware spoon rest for £9.99. You know I love an item that’s both stylish and functional — and this hits the mark perfectly. Because let’s face it, we’ve all been guilty of plonking our wooden spoon on the worktop and making a mess. In the same collection, there’s a rather sweet salt pot for £6.99. I love the simplicity of both pieces — the shape, the glaze, the font — all very clean and almost vintage utilitarian in style.

From classic and simple to fruity and fun (pardon the pun): this lemon candlestick holder is adorable. A pair of these would be perfect for a summer tablescape or al fresco barbecue — whimsical and full of charm, just how I like it.

Now, this item is undoubtedly a collision of three of my favourite things: green, scallops, and napkins. These green scalloped napkins are a dream come true for me, and at £9.99 for two, they’re a brilliant buy.
Sticking to the scallop theme, I also spotted a very elegant hand fan — black with a dramatic scalloped edge. There’s a reverse version too (white with black scallops). I always love a fan in summer, especially when I’m at the races judging on the fashion lawn — it’s a chic and practical way to stay cool. H&M actually has a huge selection of fans at the moment, which I never expected!
Lastly, the biggest bargain from H&M: a set of four jute napkin rings for just £3.99. They’re a blooming steal and perfect for summer styling.

Zara Home:
I haven’t looked at Zara Home in a while — I’m still mourning the closure of their Leeds store. Plus, their recent style direction wasn’t quite my cup of tea… but they seem to be back with a vengeance!
After last week’s perfect plates list, I can’t believe I missed this side plate with a toast motif and heart-shaped butter splodge. It’s got a lovely shape and a warm, cosy colour palette.

Next up — and I don’t quite know why I’m drawn to this — is the crème fraîche ceramic tumbler. I’m not usually a fan of drinking from ceramic tumblers (cold drinks belong in glass, hot drinks in ceramic!), but the cute cow design on the back totally won me over. Or maybe it’s the vintage French feel… or the blue and white combo. Either way, it deserves a mention — even though it is the one item over budget at £10.99.
Speaking of blue and white, Zara’s floral tableware collection starts from just £5.99. The dessert plate shown here is £7.99, and it’s so timeless and classic it would make a stunning full set. I’m thrilled to see Zara returning to its roots with this collection.

Oliver Bonas:
This week, Oliver Bonas has a strong theme — gold. Because sometimes all that glitters is gold.
Sneaking in at £9.37 (on sale!) is a brass metal candlestick holder shaped like a fish — and if you’ve been following these lists, you’ll know I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for fish at the moment. I think I might need this for my new bathroom, sat on the sink. It’s quirky, stylish, and I don’t think it’ll hang around long — definitely one to snap up.

Next is a more practical pick: a champagne stopper. Let’s face it — summer’s coming, and we all know that friend (maybe it’s you?) who turns up to an outdoor gathering with a bottle of fizz. This handy little gadget keeps the bubbles in and helps avoid spillages on uneven ground. It’s currently on sale for £5.62 and, honestly, I think it’s an essential buy — the gold finish is just a bonus!
Lastly, we’re dipping into beauty with a little more gold — Grace & Stella’s under-eye masks. I’ve used these for a while now and really rate them. Buying a bulk set of six for £10 works out far cheaper, especially since individual packs usually cost £2–£3 each.

Habitat:
Habitat is channelling countryside charm with some of its new pieces. Which just gives me a wholesome vibe.
First up: a beautiful bee glass vase for £9. This would look lovely in your own home or make a sweet gift for someone else.
They’ve also got red ticking stripe cushion covers — £7.50 for a set of two, which I think is fantastic value. The images show really nice fabric quality too, and they even come with a little label, which adds a thoughtful touch.

And lastly, a wooden toast rack with embossed lettering, just £6 in the clearance. It’s very reminiscent of something from Emma Bridgewater — and as much as I adore Bridgewater, this would probably cost three or four times the price there. A proper best-for-less find.

La Redoute:
La Redoute currently has a sale on, and it might just be one of the chicest I’ve seen.
I’m obsessed with red in interiors at the moment, so this oval photo frame in cream and muted red immediately caught my eye. It’s reduced from £19.99 to £9.99 and makes a lovely, understated statement that won’t overpower your photo.

And because I’m a sucker for typography and French — I couldn’t resist this cool bag, also down to £9.99 from £19.99. Let’s be honest, most cool bags are a bit naff… but this one is practical and stylish. I’d be proud to carry this to a picnic!
Last but not least: twisted wax-effect LED candles. These are perfect if, like me, you’re constantly burning candles and could use a more sustainable (and still pretty!) alternative. They come in different colours and designs, so definitely worth a browse.

John Lewis Sale
Like La Redoute, John Lewis has some excellent sale finds in the homeware section.
While looking for lights for my bathroom, I stumbled across these Narla tapered lampshades. They come in various colours, but the biggest bargain is the ochre version — reduced from £25 to just £7.50.

Staying on the yellow theme, there’s also the Scallop Bubble lacquer tray in a cheerful “pollen” shade — now £9.60 (originally £12). It’s a great size at 25 x 17.5 cm, perfect for adding a bright pop of colour. There’s a larger version in azure blue currently reduced to £20 too.
And finally: confetti glassware cocktail coupes. Confetti glassware has made a big comeback over the last 18 months, so finding these on sale for £8 (down from £10) makes them a fun and fab purchase.
